The Sign of the Time

While many see the signs of the times in the modern headlines, an old Bible teacher rightly said that we do not see the signs of the time, because we do not live in the times of the sign. That teacher was dispensational.

Matthew 24 is where the disciples ask Jesus, “What shall be the sign of thy coming?” (Matthew 24:3)

Dispensational Bible study has received a scarred reputation by prophetic speculators who think Matthew 24 prophesies the present dispensation. Mid-Acts right division accurately explains it as the sign of the Lord’s return to earth in Israel’s kingdom, and not his return for the church of his body.

Let No Man Deceive You

Moreover, many of signs that speculators produce from Matthew 24 are not the sign Jesus described. Jesus warned against following after those who see signs in the events of the day.

Human Anatomy

AnatomyToday, the Doctor is going to give us a full physical examination, so He can give us a full diagnosis of our health.  He is going to check our eyes, our mouths, our throats, and check on the aptitude of our hands and feet.

Below, you will find the Doctor’s summary diagnosis.  On the plus side, He has let us know the diagnosis of everyone on this planet.  That means that you already are able to know some of the characteristics of the woman, or, for you ladies, of the man that you will marry.  We can always think that it is good to go into anything with a good amount of knowledge.  Being forewarned is forearmed, so carefully read the Doctor’s diagnosis before continuing:

The World to Come

Hebrews 2:5 – 8 — “For unto the angels hath He not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.”

The world to come here, is the future that God has in store for this world.  There is “this present evil world” that the apostle Paul speaks of regarding this time (Galatians 1:4), and a “world to come”. Continue reading “The World to Come”

I AM the Resurrection

On this past Resurrection Sunday, I had the privilege to speak to Grace Bible Fellowship in Menomenee Falls, Wisconsin.  What you will see below is a written version of the message that I gave to the saints gathered together there.

John 11:1, 5, 11, 18 – 27 — “Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

“Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

“These things said He: and after that He saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

“Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off: And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him: but Mary sat still in the house. Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if Thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. But I know, that even now, whatsoever Thou wilt ask of God, God will give it Thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto Him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou this? She saith unto Him, Yea, Lord: I believe that Thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.”
